I love the gorgeous colors Fall bring. We don't get to see the beautiful foliage where we live, but hopefully we could take my daughter somewhere where she'll get to see and experience it.
For this craft we used the colors red, yellow, green and orange. This is a great opportunity to introduce colors to your toddler or introduce Fall to your preschooler.
I gathered about 10 q-tips and tied them down with a rubber band. I then placed a good amount of paint on to the center of a painting palette. I placed all of the four colors on the center and made sure not mix the paint.
She enjoyed this activity so much she did three of them. We printed a bare tree on card stock paper. You can also hand draw the tree on canvas. Below is a free file you could use to get your little once started on their tree.
I did this activity with my toddler, but I'm pretty sure your older kids would really enjoy it. They will also enjoy this scavenger hunt I just created.
