We will be using this same puzzle piece we used the first week and continue to use it next week. You can have your child glue the matching pieces together. I laminate mine and added velcro sticky dots. I told my daughter the baby animals need to find their mama. I make sure I say the letter and sound the letter as I mention the baby animals. You can find the file here.
For the math activity I went over the previous numbers; two and three. I then cut the number one and my daughter glued it on top of the dotted number one. We have keeping the numbered puzzle pieces and I have been placing them in a folder to review them as well as the letters. You can find the free file here.
Last week we feed the Lion letter L's. Today we will be feeding the Hippopotamus letter H's. The file included a lion in color and a hippopotamus in black and white, so that your little one can color it. I printed mine on card stock and then used liquid glue to attach it to a small cup. You can also print it on regular paper and then glue it to a piece of cardboard for durability. I then cut out an opening where the mouth goes and cut out the letters that are included in the file. For a challenge we feed the Lion and the Hippopotamus at the same time. To make it bit easier I color coded the activity. I used a yellow cup for the lion and pink cup for the hippopotamus. I also found yellow and pink foam and glued a small square to the back of each letter. This made it easier for my daughter to pick up each letter and also to sort them out. You can find the free file here.
