Watercolor Spider Web

Updated: Oct 19, 2020

Today we are finally using that forgotten white crayon in our 24 box of Crayola colors. This is such a fun and easy craft, even my two year old was able to do. The activity requires little pre before your little one can begin painting. The end result is amazingly beautiful.

You can free draw a spider web using a white crayon on to a canvas or watercolor paper. Unfortunately I had none on hand, but I did have some card stock. That seemed to work well, especially since I traced my spider web. I have provided a copy of a spider web below in case you need one.

We used the Crayola 8ct Watercolor Paint and covered all the colors with painters tape except blue and purple. We used a 3/4 inch paint brush instead of using the paint brush that was provided in the Crayola 8ct Watercolor Paint set. The face my little on made as she applied the first layer of paint was simply priceless. This activity took us about 30 minutes for her to complete.
